When should I book my in-home newborn session?

It's best to book newborn sessions during the second trimester to guarantee availability. Your due date is placed on our calender to hold your spot. Once baby arrives, we set the actual session date typically 2-3 weeks later. 

 

When do I pay for my in-home newborn session?

A signed contract and non-refundable retainer is required at booking; this will hold your spot on our calendar. The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to your session date. That way, our focus is on capturing beautiful photos of your growing family on session day. 

 

My baby has arrived, when will my session be?

Newborn sessions are typically done between 2-3 weeks after baby is born. This allows every one time to adjust to their new roles.

 

I forgot to book my newborn session, is it too late?

Nope! I love working with older babies. If your baby has already arrived, don't hestitate to reach out. Since babies come when they want, I often have space for a last minute session. 

 

How long will my session last?

Lifestyle newborn sessions are very relaxed and typically last about an hour. A prep guide will be sent over prior to your session date with some day of tips. 

 

What do I need to provide for my session?

The baby! Yes, that's it. Everything needed for your session day is provided by your photographer. So pick out your favorite comfy outfit and let us do the rest. 

 

Can I provide my own props?

In-home newborn sessions require very minimal props, so it's not necessary for you to provide any. However, I understand sometimes there's that special something you want to include in your session. I love incorporating that hand-knit blanket from grandma, mom’s bonnet from when she was a baby, etc. to make your images extra special. However, I do ask to limit to 1 item. 

 

When will I receive my photos?

After your in-home newborn session, we will review your images and remove any "missed moments" (blinks, off focus, etc) before processing your gallery. Then, within 1 week of your session, your finished photos will be sent over in a private online gallery for download. 

 

Do you only photograph newborns?

While I focus mostly on newborns, I also love photographing milestone sessions for our newborn clients! If you’re not already a client, contact us for more information regarding milestone and birthday sessions. Maternity sessions are also available. 

 

Your baby’s health and safety are of most importance to us.

*We never photograph sessions if we’re feeling ill, and ask that you notify us if anyone in your family is unwell so we can reschedule your session. 

*All equipment, props and fabrics are cleaned and sanitized between sessions. 

*Face masks will be worn while posing newborns. 

*Sessions are limited to immediate family members only.
