The scene: It’s a Sunday in early February. Overnight, a beautiful dusting of snow covers the ground. But not the road ways or walk ways. It’s perfect. I reached out to a couple of my Nutley moms to see if they were up to playing in the snow for maternity photos.
The first mom, due within 2 weeks, decided her best option was to nest near the fire. (Considering she delivered a few days later, it was definitely the best option.) The second mom agreed, and we set a time. I bundled up and drove the 3/4 mile to the park to meet the family!
Now, it being a specific Sunday in early February, the 3 (almost 4) year old had already picked out his clothes for the evening of football that was ahead. And, there was no changing his mind. I actually loved the football jersey/basketball beanie combination he had picked out. He loves sports, so it really was perfect.
It was a quick, 20 minutes of laughter, smiles, love, and red noses. It was 32 degrees after all. Mom didn’t do maternity photos with her first pregnancy, so she was really glad to have to have these memories with the second baby belly and her first born. Ryan was so excited about having a baby brother, I just know he’s going to be a great big brother!
