I call this smash session “3 Times a Charm.”

Between a double ear infection and a few days of rain, we were finally able to do his session on the 3rd date set. Totally fine, because he did amazing!

His mom and I had planned out an adorable set up for him including some leafy vines that would be used for decorations at his birthday party. I had the adorable tent my father-in-law had special made for me, and a few other pieces to set the whole scene. Since we had to reschedule a few times, mom wanted to get a fresh cake for his smash. When they went to pick it up, all that was available were rainbow cakes. While it wasn’t the originally planned white cake, it was definitely smashable!

Next we moved on to the splash part of the smash & splash, and that was just perfect too. Mom had requested we use some sunflowers for the bath, and it was adorable watching him play with them and pull the petals off. They were the perfect pop of color and interest for him. Even though he’s not a big splasher, even at home (which, let’s be honest, mom is probably thankful for when it comes to cleaning) her still loved his bath! He even showed off his newest skill, standing. Don’t worry, mom and dad were right near by in case he fell. Which he didn’t. He definitely took advantage of those extra days to practice.

The session went amazing and mom absolutely LOVED the photos!

I’m so happy with this Smash & Splash session and so glad I was able to work with this family.
